INTERIORS

Behind the work is SOMA Studio, Principal Designer Andrew Fee whose original training as a sculptor informs his unique aesthetic - a blend of 21st century innovation and respect for historical influences.
This Portfolio of Specialty Millwork profiles six SOMA Studio Interior Design projects. Five residences and one commercial space profile aspects of Building Design, Interior Design and Custom Carpet Design by SOMA Studio.
Each project is unique incorporating wall and ceiling panelling treatments, screens and room dividers, built-ins, kitchens and fireplace surrounds all with an emphasis on the rich handcrafted use of wood.
INGLEWOOD
The rich, hand-turned shapes of the Walnut TOTEM Screen compliment the Walnut flooring while defining the space between the Hall and the Dining Area. A White Oak Built-in Cabinet and Fireplace Surround are a feature of the Living Room while the wall hung Media Cabinet in the Family Room is also in White Oak. Cedar Panelling clads the Family Room ceiling. Original site-specific hand-knotted Nepalese silk and wool carpets are by Linda Corbett.

The painted panelling of the Living Room and Fireplace Surround, Hallway, Staircase and Ceiling Lites on the Second Floor reflect the traditional style of this Lytton Park residence, while the Dressing Room and Family Dining Area have a contemporary style. An open-concept freestanding Cabinet with coloured panels and drawers forms a semi-transparent room divider.
